There is a sparrow nest near by. There are 2 sets of sparrows. Last year I found 2 dead baby sparrows fallen by. The third time I found a baby sparrow fallen I gave it to a vet to save its life.
Now I see the pairs daily sitting on my window.

Sparrows are always seen by me because they have made nest above my bathroom's top place.I or My any family member give them rice and they always make nest there only.I am very happy to see them at my house when they come to find food.They call us to give them food on time.They are very familiar to us now.I hope this sparrow don't get extinct as our tigers.

our house faces open grassland with hills around. we do see variety of birds - sparrows, crows, Myna, sunbirds, piegons, robin, parrots, etc.

A pair made nest into my kitchen cloth bag hug in our working balcony. Till that time I didn't know the babies of house sparrows are purely carnivore.
One day a myna came to eat the baby but hearing lots of noise we went to the balcony and it flew away. Female sparrow fell into the bucket full of water. My papa took it out. I thought it was dead. My son and I were very sad. But after a few minutes it opened its eyes. Mean while papa had dried it with a cloth. It flew away. One day when I came from school the bag was empty.I could not see the babies fly away.

I see sparrows on an unused platform on Mahalaxmi railway station several times during the week, while sitting in the train, as I travel daily on this route. The sparrows fly down to the unused platform and seem to be bathing in the fine debris and sand/cement present there.
