Hi, recently we had a interview with the Kannada channel called Samaya on the internation sparrow day, it was a great feeling to share the presence of sparrows in our premises in such large numbers, when all over they are diminishing in numbers. The growth of the sparrow during the last 2 yrs in our campus is mainly due to my husband , Mr S Sethuraman, who initiated the idea of feeding them daily, and Mr Neelmagam our security incharge who did needful everyday.At present the are 3 nest and we are hoping that they will still grow to larger numbers.

I have houses in Allahabad as well as in Kanpur.In my early days there use to be large number of sparrows in my back yard and we use to catch them for fun and let them go later.As I grew got bussy with other activities and did not noticed for long timre,but they were always in our Kanpur as well as in Allahabad.It was since 2-3 years when me and my wife started storing water and food for them we did not see many sparrows for days.Fortunately my wife told me that she saw s couple of sparrows at our Kanpur House along with some pigeon.
W'll be happy to contribute what ever information we will get regarding our fast vanishing loving sparrows that use to bring soo much of joy in our house and neighbouring.

Hi, i am from a small hill station of uttarakhand (Pauri garhwal)these days living in delhi. Pauri is a nice place with forest belt. Sparrows now can be easily counted
Story:
My dad feeds these sparrow on daily basis. I have been watching him from last 8 years on daily basis morning 7 PM- evening 4PM. At initial stage sparrows used to come in large no approx 40-60 but from last 2 year their number has come down to 20. Regular visitor at may place.You can spot them early in the morning at 6:30 am and evening at 3:45pm.
So i would like to contribute to save these little creatures with you help and knowledge about them.
