i am very happy to enjoy sparrows everyday. I live in my house with garden beside it. I have few neem trees and lemon trees. Also there are many other trees near by. Every morning from 6:30 to 7:30(approx) more than 100 (in and around) sparrows make such a noise in lemon and neem trees. The noise are such that a huge meeting is going on. Also at exact 5:45 pm all the sparrows regroup here and make a loud noise.

Sparrows were a regular feature at my home with the little birds often coming flying in through the front door, typically in the search of a nesting spot. But a peculiar thing would take place after that.
During its conquest, it would end up discovering a strange reflecting surface near the wash-basin. And when it looked at its mirror image on the wall, it would find a rival sparrow already there. Boy oh boy! This meant trouble!
With this, the bird would crash into the mirror, flapping its wings and, seemingly to it, fighting gloriously in mid-air! Beaks would clash and heads would bang, and it would become very difficult to convince it that there was only one king in the jungle ... i mean one sparrow in the house.
The battle would rage on until one of us at home shooed the bird away. In the meantime, it would have left us with ample poop or guano on the wash-basin. Talk about spoils of the war!

we had a small fan in the front veranda and the sparrows would make a nest in it. and when it would be so I wouldn't let anybody switch on the fan.it would be cause of discomfort to everyone in the house & my father would want to remove the nest, this would lead to heated arguments between us,but inthe end my father would have to givein. Eventually as the house expanded & the veranda got covered, so no more nests.

My School... Recess hours... we used to sit under the trees... having our lunch... under trees where sparrows lived!
Now, all there is are a few crows! Did they eat our sparrows away...??? Or did we eat them up???
