I am living in this house for about 2 years now. I first felt surprised to see sparrow in City area. I love to hear the chirpy noise every morning while waking up. A small sparrow family (3 or so) live in the apartment adjacent to us. There is a small left over piece of land between these 2 apartments. Some grass is growing in this area and the mother sparrow searches for food for its chick and feed it.
I also feel that these are able to live in this area because the signal strength is not adequate for cell phones, but may be under the influence of information circulated around about the microwave affecting eco-system.
I also heard that coconut is also getting affected by microwave signals. Not very sure how true it is though.

They reside on the tress in the apartment complex, hear them chirping during sunrise and sunset.during the winter season I could see them clearly on the trees resting post sunset.

I remember seeing a sparrow family living in the crevasses of the nearby houses..They used to feed on the grains scattered on the road or anything small enough they could find...I don't exactly remember when..but i have not seen them from about a year...

I have been living here for past 5 years and had never seen a sparrow around this place until one fine day in the month of Feb 2012. I was very happy to see this bird and hoped that I would probably see many more soon, but unforttunately that was the last time I saw it.

I remeber the days when i was a kid...use to lie down on a folding bed in the backyard of my house and used to listen to the chirpy sound of these cute sparrows.they are a part of my childhood and i dont want them to get lost in the concretejungle..
