We are spotting few sparrows in our society from our house. We have kept a box in the window where in the sparrow can make a nest and also kept a pot of water. Also daily we put few grains near the box for the birds.

partha saradhi - renuka nagar, balkampet, near to nature cure hospital MMTS station Station Rd, Balakampet Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh

I see sparrwos in the day time generally near and around my house. But since few days I am observing that a pair of sparrows are resting after sunset inside my house. They come into the house at sunset and rest on a rope on which a money plant (creeper) grows. These two sparrows rest close to each other in between the leaves of the plant (as if they are cudling each other) , with their heads buried in their wings.
I am saddened of the thought that they might not have a nesting place.I am puzzled that though there is some vegetation(some kind of nursery and park with lots of trees) near to my house they seemed to come to my home every day at sunset.

Vikas Srivastava - Nimri Colony & its surroundings New Delhi Delhi

I remember when I was around 10-11 years old. I house sparrow made a nest in a hole in our house balcony. The sparrow leaves evry day in the morning back before sunset. Its chirp-chirp was so cute that if any single day we did not heard the chirp then all family members got worried if sometning wrong had happen. But our tenant remains with us for a month roughly as no birds live in the house for a longer period (what I beleive). But that 1 month of my life is still the best one< only sweet memories are there. God knows Ye Chirp-Chirp phir sunne ko kab milegi.

Gaurav Jain - Residential Area Kavi Nagar Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh

I observed a significant drop in sparrow populations, still we try to feed them(with grains and water) also, but number of sparrows are very less though other birds of different breeds are increasing.
Every one in our locality knows the fact that its because of mobile towers, but because of lifestyle these days we cannt ignore the use mobile phones in our daily routine.

If any one has a solution to increase sparrow population, then kindly let me know I'll be more than happy to share that in my locality. And would definitely work on that as much as I can.
