When i saw some of them coming to my window i started feeding them grains and also kept bowl filled with waters to attract them in large numbers and to save them from scorching heat.
This added some positive results......and gradually number increased. So i recommend others also to try to spare some time from schedule and save the most beautiful and innocent gift of GOD------------SPARROWS.

sparrows used to come in the house to eat rice grains in 2010 but nowadays they are not seen every day and usually we see 2-3 sparrows

I love this bird.Before this period they were seen everywhere and I saw them coming in the house with sticks fighting and jumping in front of mirror. Years back when I have no children, one sparrow made nest in my room and whenever I went out it wait for me ,as soon as I opened the door it entered before me.Sometime we were alone in that room,at that time she was my companion,I gave water to this bird from my hand so many times when it hurts itself while coming near the fan.Sometime I saw them dying cos of fans. Now I think we all have one sparrow in our hand in the shape of mobile phone .IS,nt it??

yes... I love birds, and as a kid I used to watch sparrows everyday hovering around my house in Vasai. It used to be very beautiful. I moved to Mumbai in 1990, and now when I go visit my old house in Vasai, I have seen that the numbers have diminished to a great extent. Sad but true.

I had a yellow oleander plant till may 2011 and good number of house sparrows use to visit on it.I had provided an artificial nesting space but they are not nesting in it.Till date(April 2012)house sparrow are seen in front of my house hopping,feeding, bathing, Its a great pleasure to observe them n their behavior but the sad thing is that no active nest are noticed. Hope to see them nesting in near future.
