During the period I mentioned I saw spaorrows like only 2 to 3 times and thats all....I mean most of the time ,actually everyday i only see crows, sometimes i see mynaas and rarely i see a bird that has a blue design on the head and thats all.....So sparrows are tine to spot but i dont see them..its so rare then ever....Not just sparrows are disappearing but also the other living things:Tigers,Elephants and many endangered species....But birds make me happy, excited and want to live..but when you dont see them..you just get reminded of how humans can be a destroyer sometimes by creating a world with pollution, global warming...even though we know what we are doing...But once the change is permenant theres no going bavk!!! It sucks!!So please save the sparrows!!!

My family always keeps water and grains for the birds 365 days of the year. Also, we ensure to maintain considerable amt of greenery around ourhouse. One afternoon in May 2005, when i alongwith my sister n sister-in-law went upto my terrace, we were shocked to see s tiny sparrow drouned in a bath tub filled with water on our terrace. My and my sis's heart went out 4 d poor bird n i felt guilty dat d bird had drouned coz of me, as i was d one who had left water in d tub.We then, slowly poured water out of d tub by tilting it. My sis plucked a leaf to pick/hold d fainted bird and she put her on an empty flower pot.I ran dwn n got rice grains 4 d bird, and kept d grains vry-2 near d beak, as d bird had not gained conscious.Aftr spending 10-15 minutes, we had 2 come inside d house for some work 2 b completed. But, soon aftr we heard lot of sparrows chiping loudly, as if trying 2 say something. We both ran out 2 see wht hadhappened. To out utter amazement, the tiny sparrow had flown off with the othr sparrows and there were no rice grains as well. We,then realized dat by chirping loudly,it was their way of saying thanks. Not just dat, next day i got good news in a newspaper that i had cleared a competitive exam and d closed doors of my job were opened. I never looked back after this incident and always thank d lil birdy 4 getting me a respectable job..Also my sister, within 2-3 days, of this incident, scored excellent marks in her studies. It was and will always remain the most memorable incident of both of our lives.

I still remember as a child I so much used to enjoy the chirping of the sparrows.Until a few years ago I was very much concerned about the disappearance of the house sparrows. Few months back I saw again few sparrows and was very happy. Now I feed them regularly.
