Virender Nagar, gali no. 4 Hari Nagar New Delhi Delhi
we had trees around that time, so there were sparrows chirping in the morning, giving us a beautiful start of the day. Now with so much development around, like old larger houses are converted into multistoreys by the builders and trees vanishing taking away the sparrows and the chirpy mornings with them.

aram nagar part 2 Versova, Andheri west Mumbai Maharashtra
we have plenty of sparrows in aram nagar. typically the day begins with chirping fights and complaints. i have a feeder put up on a tree and there is huge activity around this all day. lot of people have kept water and grain too. the biggest competitor for the sparrows are the squirrels who hang upside down on the feeder and help themselves to the grain. in fact aram nagar is an ecological hotspot with a variety of birds and fruit trees. sadly we have a battle going on with builders who for their own dirty means want to tear this place apart. aram nagar is home to not just sparrows but kingfishers, bulbul, koyals, coppersmith babbets, bee eaters etc.
