My house is located on the 3rd floor and in the park behind, we have a large Pepal tree that literally covers the roof of my house. With this back ground, we used to have a number of sparrows that used to come to our balcony and i remember my dog used to go chasing them.
But now a days, sparrows are rare visitors both to our balcony or the pepal tree which has a eco-system of its own. During time, this tree is visited by about twenty types of birds. But sadly, I get to see the sparrow very rarely.

these days,we need to make an effort to spot a sparrow...which was not the case a couple of years back..this itself tells the story.The area i live in is not a concentre jungle,it has enough green patches but,still its difficult to spot sparrows.i can understand the status in other areas.

Quite less sparrow observed as i remember i was brought up in that place i knew there were many sparrows now quite less to be seen.

At least in our area the numbers seem to have increased. Their twitters in the mornings fill the air for about half hour before sunrise and it's wonderful.

I am loving SPARROWS from my childhood, From last 15 months I am daily feeding rice in the morning at my home and during this period population of sparrows are increased and they are continue searching place for nesting. I am very sad due to non ability to provide them nesting place. My neighbors are complaining for over population of sparrows. Kindly suggest me to provide nesting place without disturbing my house owner and neighbors.

I am very sad due to non ability to provide them nesting place. My neighbors are complaining for over population of sparrows.
