Sparrows used to always be making nests and flying in the area. However with lack of water, increased noise and other sound disturbances, lack of nesting areas, sparrows have disappeared from the area. I saw surprisingly sparrows in the ICD Tughlakabad office after a gap of over 10 years. The area does have other bird life and interesting species are seen but sadly the humble sparrow is not to be seen. We should cultivate a habit of putting out a water basin in extreme summer so that the odd bird flying has some source of water and as well if possible grain to eat at a safe height. We need to be conscious of our nvironment and end of the day we share the space with others as well be it birds etc.

when i going to work in morning time i saw only 3 to 2 house sparrows on the road in which fron of my house bur now a days not a single sparrow i see and this is observing last 6 months.

I feel number of sparrows are decreased from past time...In past year i uses to see hundreds of sparrow,but now there number is decreased very much...

My house is three storied and on the 2nd floor we live. First two stories are concret and top one is having C.I sheet . this provide them ample scope to build nest . For last 25 years we have been living with house sparrow, indian myna,house pigeon,spotted dove,bat and occasionally a burn owl. It is a pleasure to sharethe same roof with so many species.
