when my mom saw an news channel that sparrows are becoming extict due to cell towers ,she felt bad and started feeding them by scattering grains in front of my house now its number had been increased to 10 to 20 in a day.if there timely grains are not there means they start demanding for it by there voices .totally we four of my family became close to these small birds ..and very happy to feed and watch their actions while they come for grains.

Earlier in 90s when I was studying in school use to see hundreds of sparrows in my locality. Our day used to start with sparrows chiv-chiv sound and end with the same. Nowdays I haven't heard of the sound for many years. They are hardly found in my locality.

This is our residential area. Here people feed the sparrows and they stay there. There are no nest boxes here but there are spaces between the houses where sparrows are nesting at the moment there are 5 nesting pairs around.

when we have ample bajra, we feed them twice a day.that,s when we are able to observe their numbers which goes above 30.

I live in a housing complex...there r many sparrows here...i feed them bajra n rice everyday !!
I put food outside d window...they come as early as 6.30 am...dey keep cuming whole day...n i do take care dat d food is not over...not only sparrows bt pigeons, mynas n crows also cum !! Itz greatt 2 watch all birds eating in harmony tho dey do fight !! Birds r really the cutest creatures created by God!!!
I wish that dey increase in number !! Dey r never alone...sparrows always come in groups...dey cum 2gether n leave 2gether !!
I wish i cud touch dem sumday...i can watch dem eating all day !!
Itz tough 2 blieve dat dey need 10-12 kgs of food every month n more !! Bt dey r my little babies n i love feeding dem all day !!
I would like 2 request every1 2 feed the birds good food so that their population increases !! What's a world widout birds !!
