Sparrows visit my house throughout the day for water which I have kept in my window grill. I also feed them regularly. Other than sparrows, 2 to 3 species of bird also visit mainly for water. I am very passionate about birds. I relax myself watching them eat, drink and sometimes bathe.

since our location is near to city.we don't have much greenery like fresh water streams,wild plats etc.Early morning and evening while watering the garden,the sparrows visit our garden to enjoy water.Rub their feathers on wet leaves.But did not see any sparrow nests here

It is true that sparrows are declining rapidly. There was a time, when sparrows were the only birds that could be seen around Mumbai. Now unfortunately these small birds are hard to come by. Most of the time, we can only spot crows from our buildings. Even when we do see sparrows, they are too few in number. I think apart from rapid growth of high-rise buildings, there are factors that are responsible for their decline.
It is true that sparrows are declining rapidly. There was a time, when sparrows were the only birds that could be seen around Mumbai. Now unfortunately these small birds are hard to come by.
