In more than 8 Km drive through Mandla and Maharajpur area more than 250 sparrows were seen in flocks of varying sizes 5/6 to 20/30 birds.

At Baela vill sparrows were always seen in good numbers.
On 02 Oct 2011, while driving through 2 Km stretch of road , more than 200 sparrows were seen in varying sizes of flocks.
Earlier in June 2006 I stayed for 2 days in thios village .
In his school campus about 60/70 birds wer always present and more than 5 nests were located , 5 being active.

NH 7 Bypass, Wright town area of Jabalpur city Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh
Traversed about 8 Kms bypass leading to Damoh naka from Tilwaraghat and also in Wright town area.
Good numbers of sparrows about 250/ 300 nos were seen during drive , more in outskirts

Village Gudrudih, 2 Km from NH 6, Mahasamund distt Mahasamund Chhattisgarh
At Gurudih a nesting sites of Asian Openbills was reported.
Visited it on 20 Oct 2011, so moved place to place within the area of viilage, which was residential .
Inside theis sparrows were seen in flocks , total birds about 60/70.
Also located 3 nests , all active in huts.
