When I started building the house there were many. The numbers declined in few years. Mainly they have lost their feeding grounds because of constructions nnd increased human population and disturbance, I think.

The place where presently Sukhwani complex, Swar Ganga & Ganga Skies societies have come up was an agricultural land. Sant Tukaram Nagar colony also had less houses & Sparrows were found regularly. Due to the agricultural area converted into concrete forest, the sparrows have disappeared to a larger extent.

They are getting extinct and i loved them since my child hood. I moved from city to village in order to have their company. I have few house sparrows dwelling in my house and around. My house is between fields with very little population.
