We used to feed the sparrows with cheeno(called by us)which we used to procure from russell market which we specifically used to procure for these sparrows and spread it on a limited area on the ground early morning which these little wonders used to feed It was a pleasant experience which I adore now and cherish those memories

when i was 15,there were many nest of sparrows around my house and also in my house. sparrows flies in my house and outside. everywhere i could see the sparrow. but now it is very difficult to see them. they dont come to house, i can't find the nest around me. it is very painful for me to see this. but it is true.
still i can see them but in very very less number and occasionally.
Before the area was open and more green. with no mobile towers, vehicles were very less, with not much noise. in those days we were able to see the stars.
I think mobile towers effected the birds much.

I have been watching this little bird for a long time and was shocked to notice that the brid has disappeared from some places where I lived earlier in and around Alibag. I have shifted my residence to near sea beach last year and am happy that I can spot a fair number of sparrows (10 - 15) in my building and a large numbers are spotted on small palm trees on the sea beach every day.

sparrows come to enter my balcony for their food rice, bread, seeds etc. each day. I am intresting to purchase necessary food for them. some sparrows enter inside my house also. its sounds are very good. each day they enter my balcony 6 am.
