The FRH is located on the edge of residential area of vill.
Within FRH compound and in vill about 80 to 100 ssparrows were seen during stay from 6 to 9 June 2009.
There did not seem to be any substaintial difference in [population , when compared to past visits.

Achanakmar Barrier of Sanctuary, distt Bilaspur Bilaspur Chhattisgarh
A small village located at the entry barrier of Achanakmar WLS, WHERE 20/25 sparrows are always seen.
During stay from 6 to 9 June 2009 frequently this place was visited and every time the sparrows were seen though the nests were not seen

Kota , on way to Achanakmar WLS was travelled through with a brief halt.
During stay about 35/40 scattered sparrows were seen at Bus stand/ market area.
Overall population should be much more .

Have stayed at this FRH many time and always sparrows were seen.
From 23 to 25 May 2009, about 30 sparrows were always present in the compound, many times coming down to drink from a small pool near handpump.
In chowkidar quarter 2 nests were located, one was inactive and abondaned
