Chandrashekar - Sampangiramanagar Sampangi Rama Nagar Bangalore Karnataka

During this period i used to see the sparrows daily and hear their sweet chirp, i used to feed them with the worm, grains on my house terrace. After the mobile network started growing and towers where put in every main road the sparrow disappeard completely..now if i need to see the sparrow i will have to visit my grandmother village and see them...we are really missing them and our next generation wouldn't know what birds are they did they really existed...the only way is to reduce the mobile towers and have some dedicated place for these towers which is atleast away from the residential building so that we can see the sparrows and their voice back...

Abhishek Chandan - 90 Feet Road, Mulund East Mumbai Suburban Maharashtra

sparrows come regularly on my window, we do keep grains for them to feed on. Moreover there are large open spaces in trees in and around my residence that could be one of the reasons for sparrows to hang around

Jayanthi Moily - Tilak nagar colony - chembur Tilak Nagar, chembur Mumbai Maharashtra

There were many huge trees in the colony but due to re-development most of the trees are cut down.

We find sparrows early morning, they come for the food we put near the grill.

Sowmiya - India Mudichur Tamil Nadu

I came to Mudichur in the mid of 2004, it was not a developed area as it is now. you can barely count the houses in my area at that period, so i could see many trees, where i have heard the sounds & have seen sparrows, parrots, cuckoo & crow very often..
But i could noticeably, tell that i m not seeing sparrows & parrots now. The only existing bird i can witness be crow & sometimes cuckoo..
The reason can be the newly developed housing flats, cell phone towers, vast transportation & off course destruction of trees etc..
