Since i moved in this top floor flat of the apartment, I have seen sparrows around the windows . i have put a wooden nest in the window. Since 1995, i have been witnessing the birth of sparrows in the wooden nest . Almost 18 - 20 sparrows were born in this nest. But once their wings are strong, they fly off leaving a single pair of sparrows in the nest. Now there are two pairs residing in the double storey nest.

I live in this area now and we provide rice for the sparrows in our balcony .they come and have it daily.

Am in the habit of feeding tit-bits to birds every day in the morning & it warms my heart to atleast see some remnants of wild-life that survives inspite of our best ability to wipe them out....Please let know if you can conduct induction cum awareness programs for forming local Birding-clubs in all localities which would help in conservation....

I'm living in this area for 27 years now.They used to build nests around my windows/in the lofts.
For last 5 years the sparrows are not spotted in the campus.
