Gopinath bazar , delhi cantt Delhi Cantonment New Delhi Delhi
i happen to live in one of the most green areas of New Delhi with flora and fauna in abundance .Cantonment is the home for peacocks, pigeons, crows , barbet, kingfisher at times, owl , green pigeon , woodpecker , indian grey hornbill , myna ,eagle but our favourite Sparrow is gone ...just vanished .
I still remember the good old days when Sparrows use to nest in my house and there use to be chirping all day long and i use to feed them .
The probable reasons i can think of their extinction in my area is :
1) no available space for them to nest in the houses as before after renovation of houses .In our quest to build new modern houses we all forgot the Sparrows .
2) mobile antenna's
3) scarcity and availability of food for them ...we have no time for them
i would love to go any far to have them back in my locality once again
