Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | i happen to live in one of the most green areas of New Delhi with flora and fauna in abundance .Cantonment is the home for peacocks, pigeons, crows ,dove, partridge, barbet, kingfisher at times, owl , green pigeon , woodpecker , indian grey hornbill , myna ,eagle but our favourite Sparrow is gone ...just vanished . I still remember the good old days when Sparrows use to nest in my house and there use to be chirping all day long and i use to feed them . The probable reasons i can think of their extinction in my area is : 1) no available space for them to nest in the houses as before after renovation of houses .In our quest to build new modern houses we all forgot the Sparrows . 2) mobile antenna's 3) scarcity and availability of food for them ...we have no time for them i would love to go any far to have them back in my locality once again |
