Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | > The common H Sparrows are generally are in clusters of 50-60, they forage on the open ground and take flight when disturbed, swooping to a nearby location . they on tiny pods of small flowering shrubs, pecking away at the sepals of the flowers.
> A few nestboxes were provided,but none chose to reside and use it as a nest . the nest boxes were solely used for shelter during the harsh winter(-26 and lower). They prefer to nest in the wall of local bricks( in holes that are small enough only for them) there are no natural predators barring the odd feral felines and and the odd black Kite.
> The farmers (Budhists & Muslims)after harvest leave a quantity of Maize/ wheat for the birds to forage . the sparrows can often be seen clamouring with the local Tibetean Magpie for the spoils. |
