| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | I always had those tiny visitors, though uninvited, at and around my home, in the parks and temples. My Mom and I started sprinkling 'kanki' (soft broken rice), tiny dough ball, cereals and water in old clay bowl in our window, rear balcony and sometimes atop the letter box. That time I used to see these chirruping beauties, this time as guest, playfully showing their presence even when it was a scorching ~40'C heat outside. But with passing time, I do admit a drastic fall in their public appearances! And now, conscious visits and vigilance, can make a pair or two visible, which is quite saddening..!! |
