Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | I grew up in a small town called Mokokchung in Nagaland where, i remember,sparrows in very large number were found in the church buildings where they had made the space between the roof and ceiling, their abode. I have also seen a lot of these sparrows in the campus of the University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, where i spent four wonderful years. During my second year at IARI I stayed at shishir hostel. The sparrows could been seen making their nests in the spaces on the walls or inside the ventilators of our hostel rooms. Somehow, these humble birds are now being slowly replaced by pigeons. |
