| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | A pair of sparrows have actually made a nest under my window AC. They are her since the end of Feb this year (2012). Ocassionaly they are joined by a male sparrow and at that time there is lot of noise and fighting. I have a park facing ground floor flat with lots of greeny. The birds fly to the park and return with insects or twigs. Its their mating time too.
Last year (2011) too I had spotted 7-8 sparrows in the locality and a couple had chosen the same place for nesting. But towards April, one day I found an egg dropped on the floor and the nest abondoned. I waited for the birds to retun till December before cleaning the space.I am not sure if it is the same pair which has come to make nest this time. |
