Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period?House sparrows entered our house a couple of times. Both the times, the birds entered through the balcony and got trapped in a bedroom. The first time, we had to carefully switch off the ceiling fan in that room because the sparrow wouldn't stop flying from one corner of the room to another. Me and my sister were thrilled to see a tiny sparrow inside our house. We filled earthen dishes with water and food grains, thinking we were being nice. We said,'Calm down, sparrow. Have some water,' but the sparrow didn't touch any of them. After five minutes, we realized we must open all the windows and free it. Because when we tried to visualize ourselves trapped in an unknown place, we couldn't keep the adorable sparrow trapped in our house anymore. Even though we didn't trap it intentionally, it was our duty to help it go out into the open. The moment it escaped through the window, the way it flapped its wings changed. In the room, we could sense its tension but once out, the sparrow flew away quickly, enjoying its freedom. It was not food or water the sparrow needed but it needed to be a 'free bird' once again. That was when we realized every living being needs to be in its own habitat, even if it's a matter of five minutes. So the next time, when another sparrow got trapped in the same bedroom, we opened the windows immediately and let it out. We didn't trouble it like its kin who entered our house a year ago.
