Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period?I am living in East of kailash since 1980. Since then we are regularly feeding the birds and never interfare in their nest building. Sparrows are regularly making their nest in our house whether it is in the electricity box or gaps near the wall. For the last few months I observed that there were total 18 sparrows in the flock( Two male and the rest females)Last month I saw female sparrows fighting over the single male to mate as well as to capture one of the electricity box to make nest. One female succeeded and the pair rared two chicks. Few days back I ordered two nest boxes and feeder from "Nature Forever Society"Nashik and fixed them on the wall above the electricity box. Before this just a few days back few female sparrows were just waiting for the chicks to abandon the electricity box where there nest was. They were just fighting for the nest. Conclusion: shortage of Nesting place.
