| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | We had to put card boards or thin nets in windows and other open areas near the fans. Every day some or the other sparrow used to get cut by the means of electric fans. So we finally decided not to operate that particular area of fan. There were almost more than 30 to 40 sparrows found in one house. Like that there were many many sparrows with their active nests almost in all seasons in all of our near by houses. The small babies hatched out of the eggs were beautiful without any fur or wings and were redish in colour. There used to be continous chirping noise in my house. I used to see two types of sparrows one black and the other one in cream as if the former was male and the later was female. I even noticed when one went out to bring some food for the birds the other used to be just around the nests. They were part of my happy life. We had small trays outside all our houses to put little bajra for these sparrows. We used to keep a small bowl of water also. |
