Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | The area I am reporting above was a newly developing residential colony surrounded by open grassland with few acacia trees in landscape. The sparrows used to roost in large numbers on these trees at night. I have frequently seen sparrow nests in hollows in unplastered walls. Today, no. of sparrows in this area has gone down considerably. The reason I see is no more trees around to roost at night and all the houses are plastered with no hollows to nest. |
