Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period?I am staying in this locality since my birth. There used to be nests in our house and I have seen sparrows incubating eggs and even few seconds old young ones. As I am into gardening I used to find it irritating as they ate young seedlings and fresh bloomed flowers. At the same time it was quite fascinating watching them quarrel over a nut and rolling themselves on dry soil. As our house was really old and asking for a renovation it was given to a promoter and now there stands a four storey building. In the mean while I did noticed a marked decrease in the number of sparrows and it was striking not to spot a single one of them. It really made me sorrow to think that just because of us some beautiful animals are disappearing from this planet. Amazingly, but for the past 2 years the sparrow colony has again become visible and I have to use nets to protect my plants.
