Hello. Our building has a dense bougainvilla hedge and is an older structure. The sparrows love the hedge as they are completely protected there. They also love the nooks & crannies of the older structure ...sadly modern constructions lack this. Down the road 2 other buildings have these sort of overhanging bougainvillae & I would hear & see the sparrows as I walk by. Recently, one of them chopped off their entire hedge ...silence ! Building societies should plant more dense foliage so that sparrows & small birds get shelter from crows, kites & us !
