Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | During this period it was difficult to get rid of sparrows as they tried to make nest at several locations- on lamp post of verandah, between iron safety rod and pane of ventilator, behind the tilted painting that used to hang on nail with a string, sill of ventilator which our old fashioned house had in plenty, between angle iron and tin of a tin shade, etc. I remember that once I had seen a maggot in a dead chick of sparrow. Once as a child remember having stepped on a fallen chick and had a feeling that I have stepped on a boiled potato. When I realized that it was a sparrows chick, I had jittery feeling. |
