| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | Sparrows used to sit on clothes lines and try to nest inside the house 10 years ago. Then they stopped. But always chirp from shrubs in early mornings. I have installed 2 sparrow nests on my building wall and 4 have started nesting - it took them 8 months to decide. Mynas tried to oust them once. They eat rice and sometimes other grains but never tur dal kept on the window sill. If people throw grains, pegions eat before sparrows in the pecking order. Crows keep an eye on their nests. Cats try their luck on pecking birds too. |
