i have been living here since 1986. Until recently, there were many sparrows near my house and in the colony, often disturbing the otherwise silent afternoons with their cacophony. However, over the last 2 years, the numbers have noticeably reduced. Once where there were nests of sparrows on trees and even in our balcony, now rarely a sparrows nest can be seen. In contrast, the parrot and the pigeons have relatively increased. Also several other bird species, which otherwise were spotted occasionally are now seen frequently
