| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | In the time period mentioned above, I was studying in 4th standard and the place mentioned is our house. Ours is an agricultural family. Every time there used to be plenty sacks of grains stacked in the center of the house. There is opening in the center of our tiled house and sparrows used to live here feeding on it. They made nests in the small holes in the roof. There were at least 8-10 nests. Many times, the little sparrows learning to fly will be seen on the floor. Using ladder, we were placing back in its next.
Then from 2000, draught period started and from then, rains were poor and local ponds remained dry. There were no sacks of grains in the house now and sparrows too. And there were many other factors which are responsible for its decline. |
