| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | I have been watching them every day, though I have not been able to locate their nests. But, I have seen them picking up twigs in season to build nests. They come and feed on the steamed rice left for crows morning and evening and also for water. They must be living in trees nearby because by 4 pm in the winter and little later in summers the chirpy ones assemble and make such noise, they make my day. When the guava tree leaves get some white patches off season I see the sparrows pecking on them. Sometimes they get into a fight with the bulbuls that come to feed on the guavas.Not a day goes without the little wonders around me, the male and the female and the crowd at times. |
