I’m living in above said locality since November 2008. There were many flock of sparrows used to visit my home regularly. I used to observe flock sitting over electric lines, telephone line and TV cable lines in the locality. Number of flocks visiting was drastically reduced and now I can hardly count any flocks over there. Sparrow flocks have been regularly visiting my home and I usually used to woke up in morning by listening sparrow chirp during 2008-09. Many pair in the breeding season used to search every nook and corner of my home for making nest. Towards end of 2009, some cell phone company erected its tower just 50 meter away from my home and then onwards I kept this observation in mind and shared this with all my fellow forestry scientist at CSWCRTI research centre Datia and NRCAF, Jhansi as well. This year I found only two pair making attempt to build their nest and that that four birds only visiting my home premises. Large flocks are vanished. This is one of the right observations I kept on impact of cell phone tower on sparrows and I opener to me, how our scientific progress killing other creature in the nature?
