Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period?the sparrows are now afraid of human beings. earlier we used to throw flour and seeds; they would come out in dozens, esp. in the evenings. but over the period of five years, their courage to come out near people has fallen drastically. the major reasons are deforestation, air pollution and noise of the traffic on the highway which has grown manifold within a few years. we all know the congested roads are an outcome of the financing schemes of vehicles. other major force acting against peaceful survival of sparrows, honey bees, bats and doves etc. is the high rate of radiations of the mobile phones with dense network of transmitting towers installed everywhere. these towers, installed at highest points in the localities have become watch towers for the killer birds like eagles, kites, falcons, etc. to catch the sparrows and doves and other birds. this discourages the innocent birds from coming out of the few trees they find to hide in.
