I see lots of sparrows in my society. The place where I live is is mix of urbanization and natural habitat. Next to my society is National Highway (Mumbai-Banglore Highway) which is creating polution and behind the society is almost 100 acers of small hills. Also Pashan lake is aprox 3 kms from here, thats reason why I see quite a few groups of sparrows near by.
But I am observing the decrease in the count of sparrows here as more and more building are raising day by day.
I am doing my bit by setting a small water pot on the compound wall. I could see the difference, lots of sparrows and other birds are seen in morning time between 7:00 am to 8:00 am. Though the number of birds are not greate but i hope it must be helpinng them.
