P.T.Chacko Nagar is a place very near to Trivandrum city. This place has a village like atmosphere eventhough its near to city. This place was a paddy field of several acres long years back and even now so many remainings of it can be seen, and that makes the birds their favorable assembly place. hundreds of birds can be seen here every evenings. I have sited one pelican here before and i guess that it was there as a part of its migration. List of the birds that can be seen here is given below.
house sparrow, purple sunbird, coucal, bulbul,indian robin, white throated kingfisher, parrots, black kite, pond heron, cattle egret, house crow, black drongo.
