There was a time when there were a lot of sparrows running around the near by barren land near our campus. But, I could not spot a single sparrow now a days. That land is now under construction hence no sparrows are spotted. This change I noticed happened in a matter of 3 months only. Due to urbanisation and having more and more buildings being erected every month, the sparrow population in our locality has come down to a very small number.
