| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | According to what I recall, during my childhood till my teen and early adulthood, sparrows were part of my live. The house s were only one story and there were a lot of greenery outside. There were at one or two trees outside each house. And when I compare it now, the houses are 3-4 stores, hardly any greenery (expect plants in house balcony or roofs). All the eucalyptus trees have disappeared. I have hardly seen any sparrow in the last 2-3 years. They extinct, I believe, in during 2004-2010. Now the only bird visible is pigeon.
Also I would like to state that during my childhood I used to see a hell lot of parrots but they also are hardly seen in my area. I have traced few of them near my block and their scream and squawking really makes me relaxed. |
