CELL PHONE TOWERS AND NO COW / BUFALLOW DUNG TO FEED ON AND USE OF PESTICIDES TO KILL INSECTS AND CUT DOWN ON TREES AND BUSHES DUE TO URBANISATION / BUILDING OF HOUSES AND NO ONE TO BOTHER ABOUT THEM VITAN, SPENCERS, MORE AND RELIANCE FRESH REPLACING OLD MURUGAN STORES AND PETTY DEPARTMENTAL SHOPS WHICH USED TO KEEP RICE AND WHEAT OUT AT ENTRANCE SO THAT SPARROWS USED TO FEED ON THEM. ALSO PEOPLE EAT OUT AT HOTELS PIZZA AND MAGGI RATHER THAN RICE AND WHEAT NOWADAYS. NETLONS REPLACING OPEN WINDOWS / A.C. LARGE NO. OF CROW AND PIGEONS AS COMPETITORS / PREDATORS ETC ARE THE REASONS FOR DECLINE IN NUMBER OF SPARROW. GOVT IS ONLY BOTHERED ABOUT TIGERS AND NOT SPARROWS. EVEN OTHER TINY BIRDS ARE NUMBERED NOW AND EVEN THAT WILL BE IN STORY IN FUTURE PL. |
