| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | YES. DURING THIS PERIOD I GOT INTO MY NEW FLAT WITH MY TWO TEENAGE CHILDREN. WE ALL HAVE A SPECIAL LIKING TOWARDS ANIMALS AND BIRDS. WE LOVE TO OBSERVE THEM. WE PUT GRAINS AND RICE WATER ETC. SOMETIMES WE WOULD SWITCH OFF THE FANS SO THAT THE SPARROWS WHICH VISIT OUR ROOMS DO NOT GET HURT. WE ALSO HAD SEVEN CATS AT ONE POINT OF TIME IN OUR FLAT. NOW OF COURSE, THE BIRDS, THE CATS AND MY CHILDREN, ALL HAVE MOVED OUT. ONLY MY 92 YEAR MOTHER AND I AM STAYING. ONLY TODAY AGAIN I SAW A SPARROW VISIT MY FLAT AND IT WAS SURVEYING THE SAME SPOT WHERE DURING 2000-2004 A PAIR OF SPARROWS WERE ALWAYS BUSY BUILDING NESTS AND BRINGING UP THEIR YOUNG ONES FOR ALMOST TEN YEARS. SOMETIMES THE JUST HATCHED ONES WOULD FALL DOWN FROM THE NEST. WE USED TO FEEL VERY BAD. I WISH THE SPARROWS WILL AGAIN ACCOMPANY US. |
