| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | I kept water saucer in my balcony in this area from the date I moved in here i.e. from Dec 2009. Earlier I used to see crows but not a single these days. Daily visitors to my water saucer are House Sparrows, Maina, Bulbul and Dove; sometimes Indian M. Robins and ashy prinia also visit this saucer. From January 2012, I have placed a box with holes sufficient to enter and exit and also small holes for air vents above that water saucer i.e. near the ceiling and good news is that it was occupied by House Sparrow couple from Mid February or something. I am not sure if the female had given eggs or not as I don't want to disturb those sparrows. |
