Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | About 4 bungalows around our own bungalow were demolished to make apartment blocks and hence there was constant construction activity going on for 2-3 years. I noticed that sparrows no longer came to eat the grains put out on our neighbors' terrace. All trees in our lane except two gulmohar trees abutting our compound wall were completely chopped down during this time. I never saw sparrows after the construction stopped. Green bee eaters too used to roost on a champa tree in our garden. They stopped roosting when the construction started and never came back again. |
