Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? Our home harbors different kinds of trees (Poplars,Rubinia psuedoacacia, one each tree of apple(prime attraction), peach, queens apple, plums, morus, few trees of Pomegranate, and some home grown shrubs as well as flowers. These trees always attract birds during different seasons. Especially during the fall, different types of non-residential birds like Alexandrine parakeet always visit our home grown garden (an area of 2 Kanals) every year. Other birds are occasionally sighted year round like Himalayan whistling thrush, other smaller colored birds of the size of sparrow, black birds smaller than Myna, etc. Himalayan Bulbul and Mynas are always sighted besides crows and eagles. One bird which i always miss to sight now is the Hoopoe and also I badly miss the Collard Dove and especially its lovely peaceful voice. With too many optimistic people around, we have a pessimistic future ahead were we will be left with the monotonous sightings of our own species- Homo sapiens. How boring life will be, O Lord...
