V. Santharam - Port Blair - several localities Aberdeen Bazar Port Blair Andaman and Nicobar Islands

These birds are apparently introduced to these islands and as may be expected of exotics, they have become extremely common (at least at the time when I visited Andamans). The birds were even seen nesting in tree-holes of road-side avenue trees in the town!
