Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | A pair of sparrows nest in the space between the Air conditioner and window ledge on the upper floor of the duplex I live in. It has always been a pleasure to have birds nest in my virtually garden-less house. For a few years when I had a dog which used to be fed porridge in the morning right below the sparrow's nest. The birds would wait till the dog finished his meal. Then they would come to eat the porridge remaining in the bowl. One morning I observed the sparrow do that. After eating the sticky porridge the sparrow went and sat on our clothes line and wiped the any stuck porridge on the washed clothes hanging there. I just complained about them to my mother just as I would do for some neighbors. But these were more like tenants whom I would never want to get rid of. |
