I stayed in the Kerala Forest Department Rest house, Thettakad for about 2-3 months in early 2000 (Feb-Mar) and did birding in that surrounding but never recorded House Sparrow. The place where I stayed is surrounded by orchards, areca nut/rubber plantation and forest.
