the area I live in is rich in greenery and trees, unlike other parts of Lucknow, where, unfortunately,the green cover has reduced drastically in last few years. Also, we have been regularly feeding the birds with grains (in our garden area), since 1-2 years.So this might have been the reason for spotting them in fair numbers around here, but sadly, this is not likely to apply in other parts of Lucknow.
I hope such an effort will be undertaken for other species of birds as well.
